Wedding photographer and videographer in Neu-Ulm – the quiet side of the Danube, with room for group pictures and the minster as a backdrop.

Wedding photography in Neu-Ulm

Neu-Ulm is underrated because the famous town lies opposite. Photographically that is exactly the advantage: from here you have Ulm minster in frame without standing in the crush in front of it. The Danube promenade is wide, the bank is open, and a wedding party of fifty finds room without anybody standing in the road.

The Glacis park is the second reason we like coming here. Old trees, well-kept paths, shade in summer and colour in autumn – and it is big enough that two weddings on the same day never meet. For couples who like things unhurried, Neu-Ulm is often the better choice than the old town opposite, and the pictures still say unmistakably where they were taken.

Our photo spots

  • Donauufer mit Blick aufs Münster – The postcard, without the crush on the other side. At its best in the hour before sunset.
  • Glacis-Park – Old trees, soft shade even at midday. In rain the paths hold up better than meadow tracks.
  • Edwin-Scharff-Haus und Umfeld – Clear architecture right by the water – a good counterpoint to the timber framing on the Ulm side.

FAQ

Frequent questions

We are celebrating in Ulm but the ceremony is in Neu-Ulm. Does that work?

That is the normal case and it costs hardly any time – it is a few minutes over the bridge. We plan the change so that it falls into the party's own journey and does not become an extra item.

Is there room for a group picture with all the guests?

Yes, and it is easier here than in most old towns. On the Danube bank and in the Glacis park eighty people fit without us having to stand anyone on a wall.
